Information
After studying enology, Alain Chabanon settled in Montpeyroux at the end of the 1980s. The vineyard is now spread over about 20 hectares of vines which lie on the communes of Jonquières, St André, Lagamas, St Saturnin and Montpeyroux. The domain has been certified organic since 1992 and biodynamic since 2010. Alain Chabanon produces fine, original wines, with extraordinary aging potential. This domain is one of the jewels of the appellation.
The domain’s emblematic cuvee. It’s one of the great Languedoc wines. It’s raised for 36 months, of which 24 in oak barrels, which have seen two or three wines, generally Bordelais Grands Crus. A great gastronomic wines with a lovely long finish. Once again, Alain Chabanon has made a remarkably fresh wine, given its density, a style which evokes the best side of Bordeaux, in other words an easy drinking, digestible wine.
