About the producer
Founded in 1985 by Laurence Gagnard and Richard Fontaine, the domaine perpetuates the family tradition by working 12 hectares of vines on horseback in Chassagne-Montrachet, Volnay and Pommard.
About the wine
Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard's Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet is a wine produced in moderately pebbly soil on relatively steep slopes; its south-easterly orientation affords it fairly long periods of sunshine. Harmonious, rich and aromatic (ripe fruit), this wine is both imposing and elegant in the mouth.
