Information
The domaine was founded in 1991 by the businessman François Feuillet, the owner of the Trigano brand which is known for its caravans and trailers. He fell in love with the region and entrusted the development of the wines to David Duband, who had already harvested grapes for the cooperative of Beaune. The domaine is spread over 17 hectares, including Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Clos-de-la-Roche and Charmes-Chambertin. All the ingredients are combined to perfect the classicism of Burgundy: the domaine is certified as organic and, in 2008, the choice was made to vinify non-destemmed grapes. Since 1991, the winemaker has evolved much in the style of his wines which have gained in precision and elegance. They are now one of the greatest wines of Côte d'Or and are on the menus of most French three star Michelin Guide restaurants.
The vines grown for Chambolle Musigny "Les Sentiers" are 45 years old on average and planted on chalky soil with an east facing exposure. This wine is ruby red in colour with a fresh nose based on red fruit, violet and pepper. Its tannins are structured and the rich palate culminates in a powerful, almost salty finish. This is a wine to drink after aging for between five and twelve years.
