Volnay 1er Cru Santenots Sylvie Esmonin
Information
About the producer

Agricultural engineer Sylvie Esmonin has worked in several different domains before returning to family one in 1990. Whole-grape vinifications are important for her, allowing her wines to remind the perfume of 19th-centyury Burgundy wines. Combined with the use of the renowned barrels of Dominique Laurent, this gives a very classic and charming style to the wines of Sylvie Esmonin. Although it doesn't have any certification, the vines are organic and despite its discretion, it is part of the Burgundian elite.

About the wine

This Volnay Premier Cru Santenots from Sylvie Esmonin is produced from the domaine's oldest vines (average age 65 years). To ensure authenticity, it is this wine which uses the least amount of new wood for its aging (30%). The resulting wine is elegant with spicy notes on the finish.
