Information
The origins of the Domaine Sylvain Cathiard et Fils date back to the 1920s when Alfred Cathiard began to acquire the first parcels of vines in Vosne. The wine heritage of the family is very prestigious with very fine plots of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny and Romanée-St-Vivant. The domaine is now managed by Sylvain Cathiard and his son Sébastien. Their wines are of a very high quality and are almost impossible to find in France. They are characterised in particular by their great finesse and their harmony.
This wine has all the elegance and finesse of a Nuits-Saint-Georges with the power of a Vosne-Romanée. It has a limpid, ruby colour. The charming nose is explosive with a bouquet of cherry, green sprigs, and gentle spices. On the palate, chalky aromas complete the picture. This wine is direct, powerful, and balanced with an oaky and delicate finish.
