Information
The origins of the Domaine Sylvain Cathiard et Fils date back to the 1920s when Alfred Cathiard began to acquire the first parcels of vines in Vosne. The wine heritage of the family is very prestigious with very fine plots of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny and Romanée-St-Vivant. The domaine is now managed by Sylvain Cathiard and his son Sébastien. Their wines are of a very high quality and are almost impossible to find in France. They are characterised in particular by their great finesse and their harmony.
Premier Cru Aux Malconsorts is located on the left-hand side of the famous La Tâche Grand Cru and is a very delicate wine. On the nose intense aromas of black fruit are predominant and these are also present on the palate, combined with perfectly softened tannins, giving a full and rich body. This is a wine which can be drunk with meat-based dishes which are "light" in taste (poultry and veal).
