Information
Château du Moulin à Vent, originally known as Château des Thorins, lies in a 37 hectare vineyard made up of very high quality terroirs. Wine production at the site dates back to 1732, and by the end of the 18th century Philiberte Pommier had already identified the potential of certain cuvées. Since 2009, the property has been managed by Jean-Jacques Parinet, who has made it his mission to restore the wines to their former glory.
The Croix des Vérillats cuvée is one of the property's grands vins. It is made from an east facing sunny terroir covered with a layer of porous sand which encourages the development of small, perfectly concentrated berries. The resulting wine is complex and well-rounded with a silky texture.
