Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg was created in 1933 by Jeanne Gibourg and André Mugneret. Their son, Georges Mugneret, took over the domaine and expanded it. Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée, the daughters of Georges and Jacqueline, now run it. The vineyards are distributed over the appellations of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, Ruchottes-Chambertin and Clos Vougeot. The wines of this domaine have a very classic style and its quality has improved a lot in recent years. The cuvées can be presented under two labels, Georges Mugneret and Mugneret-Gibourg.

Today, Georges and Jacqueline’s daughters, Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée, are at the helm. Their vineyards are spread between the Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, Ruchottes-Chambertin and Clos Vougeot appellations. Their wines are classic in style and their quality is consistent year on year. They produce two cuvées: Georges Mugneret and Mugneret-Gibourg. This Nuits-Saint-Georges delivers cherry aromas with great balance in the mouth, owing to plentiful, but fine and blended, tannins. Mocha notes present on the finish. A wine which pairs exquisitely with meat cooked in sauce.
