Information
Founded by Claude Bertagna in the 1950s, Domaine Bertagna has belonged to the Günther Reh family for over thirty years, and over the last few years has enjoyed significant investment designed to modernise it, pushed forward by its current manager Eva Reh-Siddle. As a result, it now features among some of Burgundy's most renowned domains.
At the heart of the Vougeot AOC, this is a plot of deep soil that is rich in minerals. Vinified for 15-18 months, the wine gains in power and structure to be placed among the finest Vouegot cuvées. The nose gives off notes of candied fruit with spices, pepper, and liquorice. On the palate, it is elegant with a character that deserves a few years of ageing, although its texture is already sumptuous in its younger years.
