Vougeot 1er Cru Les Cras Bertagna
Information
About the producer

Founded by Claude Bertagna in the 1950s, Domaine Bertagna has belonged to the Günther Reh family for over thirty years, and over the last few years has enjoyed significant investment designed to modernise it, pushed forward by its current manager Eva Reh-Siddle. As a result, it now features among some of Burgundy's most renowned domains.

About the wine

A rarity of the domain, this premier cru comes from a plot of just half a hectare in size. This gem was accorded the most attentive treatment in its production. Thus, the Chardonnay was harvested by hand before undergoing very gentle, progressive extraction. It was then matured for 12-16 months in oak barrels (25% new wood). To taste, the wine presents charming notes of yellow fruit and honey. Round and flavourful, it is enlivened by a lovely minerality.
