About the producer

Founded by Claude Bertagna in the 1950s, Domaine Bertagna has belonged to the Günther Reh family for over thirty years, and over the last few years has enjoyed significant investment designed to modernise it, pushed forward by its current manager Eva Reh-Siddle. As a result, it now features among some of Burgundy's most renowned domains.

About the wine

Les Murgers Premier Cru is produced from a parcel of just one hectare and vinified using 30% whole bunch fermentations. Élevage in 50% new oak barrels lasts 15 to 18 months. The tannins are well-defined but velvety and the wine has excellent aromatic finesse with an emphasis on red fruit. A very high quality and delightful Nuits-Saint-Georges.
