Information
Established 20 years ago, Domaine Giachino has grown its grapes organically and produced organic wines for nearly 10 years. The vineyard lies on the slopes of Mont Garnier, on the outskirts of Chambéry in the communes of Chapareillan, Marches and Apremont. The grapes are picked by hand so that they can be kept in perfect condition until pressing. This also enables sorting of the bunches, with only the best being selected. As a result, the property does not need to use any additives or vinification products.
Crunchy and sophisticated, this fruity wine is truly pleasant. The Jacquère with which it’s produced was picked early and by hand. Cold settling, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and stirring with lees are used to produce this cuvée of 9% alcohol content. Its lightness, freshness and floral notes make this wine a great accompaniment to regional foods, such as Reblochon, mushroom pie or ham.
