Information
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze has been a family domaine for more than a century and a half, with many prestigious appellations in premier crus and grand crus and therefore an exceptional heritage. Today Philippe and Christine Drouhin and their children manage the domaine.
Domaine Drouhin-Laroze's Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Lavaut Saint-Jacques comes from a plot located in the northern part of the village just before La Combe Lavaux, hence its name. At an altitude of 325m, this plot has a south-easterly exposure, sitting on rock with a very red clay soil and fossiliferous rocks. This wine is characterised by notes of red berries and violet; it is endowed with a frank, lively and fruity palate, a beautiful tannic structure and remarkable length in the mouth.
