About the producer

The story began in the mid-18th century, when Florens-Louis Heidsieck moved to Reims, married a native of Champagne and started a career as a wine merchant. He was soon immensely successful, even presenting his wines to Marie-Antoinette. Unsurprisingly, all of Europe's courts served this wine. It was bought by Jean-Louis Descours in 2011 and is now managed by his grandson Christofer Descours.

About the wine

This Champagne has a clear appearance, producing an extremely complex aromatic bouquet. It features touches of brioche bread, yellow fruit, vanilla and menthol. Its balance is provided by fine, crisp bubbles. Its attractive mineral structure lends it a freshness enabling it to be served at the table with delicate dishes, or simply as an apéritif.
