About the producer
Bought in 1928 by the Dupuy family, the Château Tropchaud, Pomerol was re-baptised « The Providence ». Since 2005, it has been owned by the Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix. The vineyard extends over 4ha and contains 90% merlot and10% Cabernet Franc.
About the wine
This wine is both powerful and delicate, typical of its appellation. The nose is complex, ranging from dark fruit to truffle. The palate is characterised by its imposing and elegant tannic structure. This cuvee needs to be laid down for some time before expressing its full potential, perfect for example with refined lamb or game dishes.
