Information
Jacques Seysses created Domaine Dujac in 1968 by purchasing 4.5 hectares. He is also associated with Aubert de Villaine in the Var (Triennes). Today Jacques's children are the directors of the Domaine Dujac, Jeremy, his wife Diana (an American enologist) and Alec Seysses. The domaine, certified in organic farming, extends over 15 hectares in the largest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and especially Morey-Saint-Denis. The domaine's wines have excellent aging potential and are characterised by great complexity and delicacy.
The commune of Morey is distinctive in that it produces a small amount of white wine. It is, nonetheless, a wine highly sought after by connoisseurs, with a substance reminiscent of a Côte de Beaune but a higher acidity. This white Morey-Saint-Denis premier cru from Domaine Dujac delivers aromas of white flowers, buttery notes, sweet spices and hazelnuts. The palate is well balanced between fruitiness and tannins. There is a pleasant length at the finish.
