Domaine Jean Macle was founded in 1850. Laurent Macle manages the 12 hectares of elevated vineyard today that is laid out to Chardonnay and Savignin in the Côtes-du-Jura and Château-Chalon appellations. This domain is well-known in the Jura and its beautifully balanced vins jaunes are iconic.

About the wine

This vin jaune (“yellow wine”) produced by Jean Macle at Château-Chalon presents delicate aromas of fresh walnut, hazelnut, white fleshed fruit (apple) and spice (pepper and turmeric). Rich and opulent in the mouth, with recurring notes of walnut and spice. Endowed with impressive length and a great cellaring potential.
