Côtes du Jura Jean Macle
Information
About the producer

Domaine Jean Macle was founded in 1850. Laurent Macle manages the 12 hectares of elevated vineyard today that is laid out to Chardonnay and Savignin in the Côtes-du-Jura and Château-Chalon appellations. This domain is well-known in the Jura and its beautifully balanced vins jaunes are iconic.

About the wine

Jean Macle’s Côtes-du-Jura is one of the region’s finest bottles. Sophisticated and exemplary, it is perfect served with a traditional dish like chicken with morel mushrooms, as well as refined seafood such as lobster with lemon butter sauce. This wine is raised in oak barrels for three years. Its nose is expressive, with nutty aromas and notes of honey. It tastes at once rich and powerful, quite typical of yellow wines, with flavours of nut, almond, spice that emerge. The citrus finish is pleasantly long-lasting.
