Information
Domaine Les Goubert has been in the family for several generations. It features 40 plots planted on terraces and slopes over 23 hectares. The Goubert family take great pride in their clay and limestone terroir, working the vines in the traditional way without synthetic fertilisers, pesticides and herbicides. Always seeking to respect the identity of their terroir as much as possible, they are just as meticulous about their vinification methods; the harvested grapes are stemmed and crushed before a slow maceration. Maturation is closely monitored and the wines are bottled without fining or filtration.
Made from the clay-limestone soil of Gigondas, this cuvée is made of Grenache and Syrah which have been vinified in concrete vats. The wine has been aged in oak pièces for 24 months. This wine, which combines complexity, finesse, elegance and balance, has all the features of a great wine and pairs beautifully with fine dishes such as a seven-hour slow-roasted leg of lamb or game.
