About the producer

Founded in Beaune in 1880, the Joseph Drouhin house is now run by the four children of Robert Drouhin. Present throughout Burgundy, but also in the United States in Oregon, its reputation is worldwide. It also has a domain of its own, including a vineyard of 72 hectares.

About the wine

Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru comes from a vineyard below the Chambertin appellation, just alongside Griotte-Chambertin, on a soil of limestone outcrops with numerous pebbles and marls. With its cherry notes enhanced with spicy, musky touches, this wine is rare and generous, with a great roundness and silky tannins, beautifully balanced overall.
