Information
The "Part des Anges" ["Angels' Share"] is the poetic term used to describe the evaporation that occurs when Cognac is left to age in barrels. The term now refers to a yearly gathering, bringing the men and women of Cognac together for a charity event.
This year, the "Fée du Paradis" is representing the 4th edition of an event that was founded by the Interprofession du Cognac in 2006.
This auction sale offers collectors the opportunity to bid on truly exceptional, even unique, bottles of Cognac offered up by generous donors. Profit from sales will be donated to the Fondation de France.
This carafe is one of the 100 rare numbered pieces from the exclusive edition of L'Or de Jean Martell. This edition was created for the launch of L'Or de Jean Martell, an exceptional Cognac that pays tribute to the Maison Martell's 300 years of excellence. A blend of several hundred eaux-de-vie, some of which are the house's star wines and have been aged for over a hundred years in the winery cellars, L'Or de Jean Martell is the result of a unique combination of old Borderies and Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie. The hand-crafted blown glass carafe is made from pure crystal. Decorated with painted gold leaf (20.6 carats), the embellishment around its shoulders was exclusively designed for this edition by the illustrator Florence Gendre.
