Château Domeyne Cru Bourgeois
Information
About the producer

This 8-hectare château in Saint-Estèphe is owned by Claire and Gonzague Lurton. They grow a typical Médoc blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It was classed as a Cru Bourgeois twice (in 1932 and 2003). The couple, who already own other Grands Crus Classés, in buying this property hoped to restore it to its former splendor; one to watch!

About the wine

Hand harvesting, meticulous sorting in the vineyards and on the sorting table, thermoregulated vinifications and elevage in new oak barriques all contribute to making this voluptuous and energetic cuvée. The notes of red and black fruits are enhanced by the spiced ageing aromas. This wine can be enjoyed after three years in the cellar but will continue to evolve for up to ten.
