Information
This estate is located in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation and has belonged to the same family since Medieval times. Their 11.5 hectares of vines grow on soils of clay, limestone and sand, perfectly adapted to growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The parcels are vinified separately and the estate produces two cuvées.
The sustainable farming methods used to make this cuvée disallow for any chemicals to be used. Vinifications take place on a plot by plot basis in containers made of inert materials such as concrete so as to preserve the fruit flavours of the grapes. The wine is then raised in new and old oak barriques. It is accessible when young however we suggest cellaring for a couple of years and enjoying with stewed meat and fresh green beans.
