Information
Angelo and Albino Rocca's 10-hectare domaine produces two Barbaresco crus - Bric Ronchi and Loreto - which have attracted praise from international professional critics. Small yields are favoured to create concentrated wines with excellent cellaring potential.
This wine is produced from vines aged between 50 and 70 years, which enjoy a south-easterly exposure. The wine has been matured for a genuinely long time: 20 months in oak barrels and 20-hectolitre casks. Well balanced and flavoursome, this wine offers seductively mellow tannins and a rounded character. It should be drunk in its first flush of youth, and deserves to be opened 2-3 hours before drinking.
