Information
The Mommessin house was founded in the south of Burgundy, in Mâcon where Cluny monks had planted vines. In 1865, Jean-Marie Mommessin settled in Grange-Saint-Pierre, and the key of the Abbey of Cluny became the house's symbol. It has since been moved to Quincié-en-Beaujolais. The house strives for excellence and top-quality wines, selecting only the best grapes and finest parcels, working closely with the winemakers. The Beaujolais produced by Mommessin have a Burgundian influence, with the partial destemming and oak-élevage. Delicious!
This Saint-Amour is what you might call a ‘fruit bomb’. Light, fine, silky and flavourful, this cuvée is superb when served slightly chilled with poultry. This is one to savour in its youth in all its fruit glory amongst friends!
