Information
The Mommessin house was founded in the south of Burgundy, in Mâcon where Cluny monks had planted vines. In 1865, Jean-Marie Mommessin settled in Grange-Saint-Pierre, and the key of the Abbey of Cluny became the house's symbol. It has since been moved to Quincié-en-Beaujolais. The house strives for excellence and top-quality wines, selecting only the best grapes and finest parcels, working closely with the winemakers. The Beaujolais produced by Mommessin have a Burgundian influence, with the partial destemming and oak-élevage. Delicious!
This Fleurie has a delicate yet complex nose of red fruits and berries. In the mouth, the texture is silky and ample with distinct floral notes and it is the perfect balance between freshness, roundness and structure. This freshness comes from the crunchy fruit flavours and fine grain tannins.
