Château de Brisson
Information
About the producer

Château Brisson is another of the estates owned by Vignobles Valade. Located in the heart of the Castillon-Côtes-de-Bordeaux appellation, it was created in 1878. Originally run by Paul and Lorette Valade (who took the reins 30 years ago), their son Cédric recently joined them, contributing his viticultural and enological expertise.

About the wine

This cuvée is a blend of Merlot planted on limestone and clay soils and Cabernet-Sauvignon planted on sandy, clay soils. Cold maceration ensures maximum colour and flavour extraction. Post-fermentation maceration helps extract yet more tannins and soften the wine’s structure. An intense ruby-red robe offers up aromas of ripe black fruits. Elevage in wood for one year bestows toasty notes. This is a wine built to last and will be the perfect accompaniment to game.
