Information
The Henri Revourseau domain counts 13.6 hectares of grand and premier cru vines which produce outstanding wines, particularly the ancient Clos de Vougeot vines at the heart of the Clos which produce a wine of rare strength and ageing potential. The clos from the Rebourseau property spreads across 5.78 ha in front of the front steps of a beautiful dwelling acquired by General Henri Rebourseau in 1923. In 1919 the General regrouped his father's vines around this beautiful 18th century house. His son Pierre Rebourseau then successfully managed the domain up until the 1980s. Today, the family property is managed by one of the General's great-grandsons, Jean de Surrel.
With its 50 hectares divided between 82 owners, Clos de Vougeot is the ultimate example of the fragmented Burgundy vineyard. Domaine Henri Rebourseau owns excellent, ideally-situated plots here. Clos de Vougeot majors in generosity, with a very pleasant fruitiness on the palate. It will express itself wonderfully well after 8 years' aging.
