Information
The first vineyards were planted in 1546 across the Cousiño Macul, Chile's oldest and most renowned estate. It has been owned by the Cousiño family since 1856, with six generations having managed operations since. Located in the Maipo Valley at the gateway to Santiago, the estate grows and ages its wines in compliance with pure Chilean tradition: low yields and short maceration periods followed by a lengthy ageing process.
Produced ever since the vintage of 1992, the Finis Terrae cuvée is made from the estate's very best Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a small proportion of Merlot. The cuvée is left to age for two years in oak barrels from France. The result is a wine with delicious aromas of blackberry infused with slightly smoky notes.
