Information
Château Quinault is in the heart of Libourne. The walled 12-hectare vineyard is planted in hot gravelly soil, which raises the temperature in the vineyard a few degrees, resulting in earlier ripening of the grapes. Restored by Doctor Alain Raynaud, these old vines have benefitted from very modern growing and vinification techniques.
Château Quinault L’Enclos showcases all the grandeur of the Saint-Émilion appellation with this wonderful wine, the result of blending Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) and Cabernet Franc (15%).
Intensely fruity and extremely expressive, the aromas in the glass begin with beautiful black fruits notes of blackberry and cherry before developing into spiced, peppery notes accompanied by delicate floral touches. On the palate, the wine is extremely precise. Smooth and rich, it is also ample, generous and balanced by a lively and dignified acidity. The finish seems never-ending, bringing the crisp fruit flavours along with it.
An extremely beautiful bottle of Quinault L’Enclos that can be savoured in its youth but also offers excellent ageing potential.
