About the producer

CA'ROME - AA - Piedmont - Ca' is the diminutive form of Casa, owned by Romano Marengo and more like a peaceful family-run company than a winery. The vineyards and wines here are managed with a calm, firm hand, and a thirst for excellence that stems from the owners' own character.

About the wine

This wine is a pure Nebbiolo produced from one vineyard rich in zinc and magnesium. The bunches macerated for 15 days and the wine ages for 24 months in oak barrels before maturing in bottles for a further 10 months. It gives off complex notes of black fruits, cinnamon and violets. Its tannins are well-integrated and its full-bodied structure make for good pairings with flavourful meat such as game.
