Information
Château Les Grands Sillons saw the light of day during the 1920s thanks to the current owner's great-grandfather's grandfather! Handed down until today, it has over two hectares on which the appellations' typical grape varieties are grown such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. These evolve on sandy soils and iron oxide sub-soils and are south facing. Harvesting is manual, with HVE certification (high environmental value) and aging takes from 12 to 14 months in oak barrels.
This Pomerol is made with sustainably cultivated grapes which are de-stemmed and fermented in tanks before maturation in oak barrels. The wine has an attractive ruby colour and complex and varied notes of dark fruits with a hint of wood. It is even better after a few years in the cellar.
