About the producer
Five generations of winegrowers have followed one another at Clos Trimoulet, a family property in the north of Saint Emilion. Planted in clayey-sandy soil, the vines are an average of thirty years-old. The grapes are only harvested when they are perfectly ripe; two thirds of the resulting wine is then matured in oak barrels (20% new each year), with the rest being matured in vats.
About the wine
Clos Trimoulet produces a well-structured, very elegant wine with excellent potential to improve with age.
