Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru Dujac (Domaine)
Information
About the producer

Jacques Seysses created Domaine Dujac in 1968 by purchasing 4.5 hectares. He is also associated with Aubert de Villaine in the Var (Triennes). Today Jacques's children are the directors of the Domaine Dujac, Jeremy, his wife Diana (an American enologist) and Alec Seysses. The domaine, certified in organic farming, extends over 15 hectares in the largest terroirs of the Côte de Nuits and especially Morey-Saint-Denis. The domaine's wines have excellent aging potential and are characterised by great complexity and delicacy.

About the wine

A grand cru in the Morey Saint-Denis appellation, Clos Saint-Denis produces concentrated, racy wines which develop into softer wines than any of the commune's other grand crus. From red fruit in its earliest years, it develops liquorice and violets, and ultimately leather, after ten years of aging.
