Château Trotte Vieille 1er Grand Cru Classé B
Information
About the producer

Château Trotte Vieille, one of Saint Emilion's most famous Premier Grand Crus, is located on the appellation's eastern side. The vineyard lies on clay-limestone soil. Until the 1980s, the wines had a tendency to lack concentration and character, but their quality has been improving steadily since 1985. More rigorous selection, later harvests and aging in oak barrels for 18 months (with 90% renewed each year) have enabled Trotte Vieille's wines to join the ranks of the appellation's finest properties.

About the wine

The wines are deep, imposing and concentrated, with notes of liquorice and raspberries. These are wines of tremendous class.
