Information
Henri Prudhon, the son of a winegrower, was born in Saint-Aubin in 1921. In 1945, he married a young woman who also had a viticultural heritage. They created the estate by combining the winegrowing heritage inherited from previous generations. Four years on, the couple had their second child, Gérard, who developed a passion for his parents’ trade and later came to work alongside them. In the 1970s, the estate focused on selling its harvest as grape musts or wines, which were particularly in demand by the region’s wine merchants. In the 1980s, Gérard decided to bottle his wines and market them directly. Over the years, the estate grew with the acquisition of new plots, ideally located in Chassagne Montrachet and Puligny Montrachet. Direct sales at the estate increased and foreign markets soon took an interest in the vineyard. Now run by Gérard’s children, Vincent and Philippe, the estate consists of over 14 hectares of vines, the fruit of the hard, rigorous work of a whole family of winemakers.
