About the producer

Giampaolo Motta studied Chemistry in Lyon where, funnily enough, he fell in love with Bordeaux wines. He decided to leave the family business (tannery) and throw himself into a winemaking adventure. In 1992, he bought Fattoria La Massa and began producing wines. In the late 1990s, the wines met great success. We enjoy them for their power, structure and strong personality.

About the wine

The result of a blend of international grape varieties, this Chianti has a beautifully intense appearance, leading to notes of very ripe black berries, sweet spices and Mediterranean aromatic herbs. Its voluminous texture reveals well-integrated tannins which lend it great ageing potential and an ability to be paired with dishes of character.
