About the producer

Blandy's Madeira was established in 1807 by John Blandy, a quartermaster in the British navy responsible for protecting the island of Madeira from Napoleon’s army. His descendants, who still live on the island, set up the Madeira Wine Company with the Anglo-Portuguese Symington family. They were true trailblazers for the modernisation of the image of Madeira.

About the wine

Vintage Verdelho is produced from a parcel-based selection and has received an élevage of 27 years in oak barrels. It delivers notes of dried fruit and almond, along with smoky notes. A mellow wine in the mouth; not too sweet, and with excellent length. This Madeira can be enjoyed at the end of a meal or with parsley-encrusted cheeses, or with desserts made from white fruit.
