About the producer

The Canneto vineyard on the western slopes of Montepulciano, boasts a long winemaking history. It was acquired by the longstanding Swiss importers of Vino Nobile. They have invested in the vineyard, notably in new equipment. The vineyard covers 26 hectares on pebbly, marl soils almost 400 metres above sea level.

About the wine

Sangiovese is Tuscany's powerful native grape. It dominates this Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which is the result of an 18-month élevage in French oak barrels, followed by a 6-month bottle ageing. This "carnivorous" wine will pair well with grilled or sautéed red meats.
