Château la Croix Taillefer
Information
About the producer

The Rivière family bought its first hectare of vines in 1977 in Pomerol. They, then, bought the entire Château La Loubière that they renamed Croix Taillefer, due to the characteristic soil of Pomerol, with iron dirt (iron in French is fer). Merlot is main grape type, with a bit of Cabernet-Franc. Since 2003, the domain has been certified organic ECOCERT.

About the wine

The Rivière family delivers a deep organic Pomerol wine. The bouquet has blackberry, strawberry and spice aromas. The palate is full-bodied, round and intense. It is a pleasant wine to be tasted after aging for 5 to 15 years.
