Burgundy | 2007 vintage

Although the cool and rainy August weather threatened the harvest, the good weather in September managed to save the vintage. Burgundy wines narrowly escaped disaster! Unfortunately the harvest was too early in a number of domains. Hence a heterogeneous quality. However, the wine-producers who rigorously selected their grapes had an excellent vintage. The best red wines come from the Côte de Nuits (Gevrey Chambertin, Nuits Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée). The wines distinguish themselves with their fruity character, but their cellaring capacity is limited. The white wines have a lovely acidity compared to the 2006 vintage, although a lot of them are too thin. It is worth noting that some of the Chablis grands crus can be cellared for up to 20 years.
