Bordeaux | 1996 vintage
An outstanding vintage both in quality and quantity. The Cabernet Sauvignon has matured to perfection and produced highly concentrated wines. Most of the Médoc wines are full, ample, aromatic with a long cellaring capacity. However, the Merlot suffered from the torrential rains during the summer. Consequently the Pomerols, Saint Emilions and Graves are not quite so regular. The dry white wines are magnificently complex thanks to an early harvest. The sweet wines are outstandingly rich.
