Bordeaux | 1994 vintage
A good quality but irregular vintage. After a hot and dry summer, the quality of this vintage was compromised by heavy rain. Many of the wine-producers sacrificed 30 to 50% of their harvest. This resulted in concentrated and tannic wines with a good cellaring capacity. The other wines are austere and thin. Those produced from Merlot had better results. The grapes, harvested before the rain, made perfectly-balanced, dry white wines. Although they have a short cellaring capacity, these sweet wines are elegant and fruity.
