Bordeaux | 1993 vintage
A reasonable vintage, despite the difficult weather conditions. After a hot and sunny summer, downfalls of rain prevailed until the end of the harvest. The tannic in the Médoc wines is not as developed as was hoped for and the wines are more austere and lack suppleness. However, the Saint Emilions, the Pomerols and the Graves, harvested before the Médoc, show few signs of dilution. The wines are unexpectedly deep and firm. The dry white wines are aromatic. The sweet wines, elegant and light, lack structure.
