Bordeaux | 1981 vintage
A classic vintage with good quality wines. Most of the wines are reasonably well-balanced. This vintage would have been exceptional if the vineyards had not been struck by torrential rain just before the harvest, considerably diluting the aromas' intensity. The wines are elegant and medium-bodied. The Graves wines are often better than the Médocs. The sweet wines are fruity and aromatic but have a limited cellaring capacity.
