Bordeaux | 1954 vintage
A bad vintage with watery wines. A rainy August, followed by a harvest drenched by downfalls produced thin wines, lacking in richness and concentration. The Sauternes region suffered from a series of frosts and only managed to produce a very small harvest of poor quality. There were, however, a few good wines in the great châteaux of Médoc.
