Bordeaux | 1946 vintage
A small vintage due to particularly bad weather conditions. The cool and rainy September encouraged the development of rot in the vineyards. Furthermore, this is the only post-war vintage in which the Bordeaux vineyards were destroyed by grasshoppers. The harvest was extremely limited. Apart from a few exceptions (Latour and Mouton Rothschild), most of the wines should be drunk. The sweet wines are lacking in body and depth.
