Bordeaux | 1937 vintage
A very hot year with average rainfall, produced some very good reds and dry whites. They are mostly quite powerful, fine, concentrated and harmonious with a good development. Although the Médocs are almost too tannic, the Libournes and Graves are however very harmonious. Sauternes had an exceptional summer, with mostly rich, sappy and very racy wines. Yquem and Climens produced some sumptuous nectars that are still much sought after even today. This is without a doubt the vintage of the decade for Sauternes.
