Wine for sale: Maison A&S
Maison A&S
Alexandre and Pierre-Alexandre – two passionate young Burgundians with no family winegrowing background – embarked on their winemaking journey in 2018 with their first vintage. After several years making wine in Chagny, they moved to Nantoux in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune in 2021, acquiring a vathouse and their first vines. They have since purchased parcels in Pommard and in the Burgundy region, reaching a total of almost one hectare of vines, supplemented by grapes from the wine trade. Today, they produce around 20,000 bottles per year. In addition, our two winegrower-merchants work for some of Burgundy’s leading estates: Pierre-Alexandre works as vineyard manager for Comtes Lafon, and Alexandre is cellar manager for Thibault Liger-Belair. Their approach is exacting, organic, with particular attention paid to the soil and plant material. In the winery, intervention is kept to a minimum, with no inputs apart from a little sulphur and gentle extractions. The wines are aged in old oak barrels. The style of the wines is characterised by freshness, finesse, velvety tannins and good drinkability. The white wines offer vibrant fruit or more tension, depending on the appellation, while the red wines reveal velvety tannins.
