Chantal Lescure

Whilst this Burgundian domain has a low-key reputation, its vines cover both the prestigious Côte de Nuits and the enchanting Côte de Beaune, giving us the best of both worlds when it comes to the region’s produce.

Founded in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, Domaine Chantal Lescure is a family domaine that now belongs to their two sons: Aymeric and Thibault Machard de Gramont. An owner harvesting 18 hectares of AOC vineyards, the Domaine Chantal Lescure extends from Chambolle-Musigny in Côte de Nuits to Meursault in Côte de Beaune. In 1996, when Chantal Lescure died, Aymeric Machard de Gramont took over the management of the domaine. The entire organisation of the domaine, and in particular how to work the vines was then re-considered. François Chavériat was hired as a cellar master and has been moving the domaine towards agrobiology since 1997. Today, the domaine is certified organic
